The 3rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Northern Chamber of Industries (NCI) was successfully held on 21st March 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Hotel North Gate. The event brought together members, stakeholders and distinguished guests with a total participation of approximately 80 attendees. The AGM was graced by the presence of: The Hon. Governor of the Northern Province Ms.Ramya, Head of Chancery, Indian Consulate Office, Jaffna The Commissioner, Inland Revenue Department Chelvan Vithiyananthan, Entrepreneur and Investor (USA) The first session was conducted exclusively for NCI members A special address was delivered by the Commissioner of the Inland Revenue Department, along with the Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner, focusing on: Current tax procedures Compliance requirements for businesses. The second session commenced after lunch with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp, symbolizing a formal inauguration.
